Madame Tussauds
With over 200 figures and located in Times Square, New York’s Madame Tussauds is one of the most famous wax museums in the world.
The Opening Night Party, which is a party-decorated room where you’ll be able to see and take photos of the world’s most famous celebrities, is one of the best sections of the museum.
After visiting the Opening Night Party, you’ll walk through 5 other themed rooms, where you’ll bump into different US Presidents, singers like Taylor Swift and Justin Bieber, sportsmen and women like Michael Jordan and Serena Williams, leaders, militaries, and other celebrities. You’ll also walk into the White House’s yellow oval room to meet Obama and we recommend taking a photo as it's extremely realistic!
As you go along you'll see sections of movies and Broadway musicals. If you like thrills, you can enter the "Scream" hallway where wax figures mingle with real actors.
The museum also has a special room for Marvel fans with all your favorite superheroes. With your ticket to Madame Tussauds, you can also enjoy the Marvel Super Heroes 4D Experience, where you can see the Hulk, Thor, or Captain America among other characters from the Marvel universe.
Keep in mind that some of the museum exhibits change throughout the year, so you will probably miss a figure you want to see during your tour.
Great with the New York Pass
If you have the New York Pass or any type of tourist pass, the visit is worthwhile, as the wax figures are truly one-of-a-kind. Otherwise, admission is a bit pricey. One very positive aspect is that the museum stays open until late, so becomes an ideal option for any last-minute plans or rainy days.
